This Open Source project was something that came about over merging two of the best things in the history of history: Barbecue and 3D Printing ( 3D Printed Food )

I had thought about this concept for a while, but until a discussion on a photo album post from Mark Mosiette between myself, Marcus Link, Nils Hitze, Gina Häußge , and Florian Horsch it never got off the ground. BUT in that thread is where I got the confidence to make it happen.

The prototype is currently under development, and all things will be posted on the GitHub (coming soon….) and at BotBQ.org as well. It will be an Open Source project as well so we can contribute something special to society.

The OFFICIAL unveiling of the BotBQ extruder was at the#OS3DC (Open Source 3D Drucker (Printer) Convention in Frankfurt, Germany from 21-22SEP2013), which was an awesome success!  Thank you all who stopped by and gave compliments and feedback on the BotBQ extruder!  Not sure when the complete BotBQ will be released, but at least everybody got to see just how hamburger is printed.
